Department of Botany, GPGC Mandian Abbottabad organized one-day seminar on “Environmental Awareness and Plant Biodiversity: Challenges and Future Prospects” in
collaboration with the Department of Environmental Sciences ( COMSATS University Abbottabad on 26th November 2022. The resource person for this seminar was Prof.Dr. Faridullah. Before the seminar, Dr. Khalid Ahmed and Ms Romana Jamshed conducted their presentations. Dr. M. Shahzad and Dr. Awais Arfieen conducted question-answer session.
Students and faculty of department of botany attended the seminar along with HODs of other departments. Students of Microbiology and Zoology too attended the seminar.
Welcome Note was given by Prof.Dr. Abbas Hussain Shah,Chairman Department of Botany and Research Council GPGC Mandian.
Prof. Dr. Azhar Mehmood, Principal GPGC Mandian, in his closing remarks, wholeheartedly thanked keynote speaker and his teammates for conducting such a useful seminar for students of GPGC Mandian. He also appreciated the toil and effort of faculty of department of botany for organizing the seminar. Principal Prof. Dr. Azhar Mehmood said that environmental awareness was the need of the hour and plant biodiversity had challenges as well as prospects.
